We started Kinu because managing your health shouldn't be this hard

For the millions of people living with an autoimmune condition, keeping on top of symptoms, appointments, lab results and medications has quietly become a second job. Kinu is a calmer way to carry it all, so you don't have to do it alone.

Our story

It started with one person's frustration.

People living with autoimmune conditions understand their own health in ways no one else can. They live it every day: the symptoms that come and go, the results that read 'normal' when nothing feels normal, and the small things that quietly help.

But healthcare is still built around treating the disease, not understanding the person living with it. That experience gets lost.

Our founder, Ayesha, knows that firsthand. After years of living with more than one autoimmune condition, dismissed by 'normal' lab results and left to make sense of it all alone, she started tracking her own symptoms, lab results and daily habits to find patterns and feel in control of her health again. When she couldn't find a tool that truly understood what she was going through, she decided to build one herself.

Kinu is that place. A calm home for everything you keep track of, from how you feel to your lab results and medications, so you can see your own patterns and walk into every appointment prepared. Built with other people living with autoimmune conditions, every step of the way.

I built Kinu for people like me: the ones who are told they're fine, but feel anything but. No one should have to figure their health journey out alone.

With patients every step of the way

Healthcare is built around treating the condition. Kinu is built around the person living with it.

Built for people living it

So much of care is designed around the fifteen-minute appointment. Kinu is designed around everything in between: the tiredness, the flares, the questions you forget to ask, the results you can never find. Every decision starts from what it's actually like to live with an autoimmune condition, so you feel understood, not managed.

Technology built with patients

Kinu is shaped by people who live with autoimmune conditions, not just built for them. We listen, we test, and we change course, because the people who know what's missing are the ones who've needed it. Anything we build has to earn its place on a hard day.

A companion, not a verdict

You already carry the weight of a lifelong condition. Kinu isn't here to diagnose you, judge you, or add to the load. It's a calm place to keep track of your health, understand it in your own words, and feel a little less alone and a little more in control. Support that complements your care, never replaces it.
